How I start most days- with coffee and an oracle card, often followed by meditation. @the_wild_unknown
Grief is heavy and thick and ugly and beautiful and horrible. A few of the things that are helping me to trudge through it are:
🖤 Our amazing friends and family who just keep reaching out to my husband and I and offering help of all kinds. Thank you so much to each of you. We love you. 🖤 Helping others through my work (yoga, bodywork, etc.) 🖤 Watching shows with my husband that my Father-In-Law recommended to me before he passed.
🖤 Making pretty, shiny things.
I am participating in Women On The Rise Market this Sunday at Healing Elements in Saint Paul from 2-6pm. I will be selling my aromatherapy blends and jewelry. I would really love to see you. Please come. Here is a peek at what will be available.
On Wednesday November 7th my Father-In-Law, Bradley Rouse was found dead in his apartment. We believe he laid down in his favorite patch of sunlight to rest and died of natural causes.
We were fairly close. We texted each other often. We watched shows “together” and gossiped about them. I took him to see Black Panther in the theater. I called him my “Bonus Dad”. I adored him.
He was a private, intelligent, sensitive, funny, deep thinker. Most people that knew him for longer than ten years had at minimum a complicated relationship with him. My husband is most certainly one of them. I did not. I was lucky to have a simple, uncomplicated, extremely loving, and too-brief relationship with him these last 8 or so years.
He told me often that he loved me, was proud of me, thanked me for being good to and for his son, and was the best damn Father-In-Law I could have asked for. He always had my back, and he told me so. I am grateful for the short time I got to have with him, and I will miss him immensely.
Coping with midterm election anxiety by working on some new pieces.
Now that I’m done #VOTING I am working on some pieces, like this #wip two sided pendant with a real lavender bud mold, rubies, and blue CZ’s.

First shot at mounting stones with solder...
Bean insisted on wearing her costume.
Happy Halloween. Bean has a baby fang. Despite it being really cute, it is actually a sad story. Sometime before she was rescued, when she was still a puppy, she was kept in a cage for extended periods. She chewed on the cage so much that it caused damage to her tooth, causing it to stop growing. She’s a sweet little monster that we love to bits. Thanks again @darlingcarrie for the toy!
